Maintenance

Maintenance

The Senquip QUAD-C3 has been designed to require minimal maintenance and contains no user-serviceable parts.

Battery

The internal LTO backup battery is designed for a service life exceeding ten years under normal operating conditions and does not require routine replacement.

Enclosure and Seals

To maintain the environmental protection rating of the device:

  • Check the enclosure for signs of impact damage, cracking, or excessive UV degradation.

  • Inspect cable glands, seals, and gaskets for damage, deterioration, or displacement.

  • Ensure all enclosure screws are present and tightened correctly.

  • Check for signs of water ingress, condensation, or contamination inside the enclosure.

Wiring and Connectors

  • Check all wiring for damage, abrasion, crushing, or excessive strain.

  • Verify that all connectors are fully engaged and securely fastened.

  • Inspect wiring and terminals for corrosion or contamination.

  • Ensure cables are adequately supported and protected from vibration.

Mounting

  • Verify that the device remains securely mounted.

  • Check mounting hardware for looseness, corrosion, or damage.

  • Inspect brackets and mounting surfaces for cracking or excessive vibration wear.

Any damaged components should be repaired or replaced before returning the device to service.

Antennas

The QUAD uses external antennas for LTE, Satellite, and GNSS communications. Periodically inspect:

  • Antennas for physical damage.

  • Antenna cables for abrasion, crushing, or excessive bending.

  • SMA connectors for tightness and corrosion.

  • Antenna mounting points to ensure they remain secure and weatherproof.

Recycling

The Senquip QUAD-C3 should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations governing electronic equipment and batteries.

The device contains electronic components and a rechargeable LTO battery that may be recovered and recycled at the end of the product’s service life.

Do not dispose of the device with general waste. Where facilities exist, electronic equipment should be delivered to an authorised recycling or collection facility.

Packaging materials should be recycled where possible.
